Woodland
Children in key stage 2 play and learn on Woodlands. There are six classes within this wing:
- Ladybirds
- Bumblebee
- Caterpillar
- Dragonfly
- Butterfly
- Beetles
The curriculum for children in Woodland is based on a thematic approach, a main topic provides the focus which is used to engage children's interests and develops a sense of curiosity. The curriculum is differentiated to meet the individual needs of the children. Where children need specific interventions and therapies, these are wherever possible delivered as part of the class routine and built within the curriculum.
Children stay together as a class throughout the school day, coming together into bigger groups for play and lunch time. Children use the specialist spaces around the school to enrich their learning experiences.
